Originally Anna, Tessa and I had this booked in for Thu 17th August at the sensible time of 11:30am, but due to flight delays we ended up having to reschedule this to a Dance Cardio class to Fri 18th August at 5:30am…Anna shall we say was less than impressed at the start time for this class 🤣
Earlier on in the year, Jill’s Mum Bron had shared with us the ‘Dancing Twiga’ image that Jill’s school ‘International School of Tanganyika’ had created in her memory that represents her. Bron gave us permission to use this image if we wanted, so I had some shirts made for us to wear to our Dance Class.
The dance class was great fun…well I at least enjoyed the dance component of it, I’m not sure Anna & Tessa would say the same 🤣 Unlike Anna & Tessa I go to fitness classes regularly and have also done some dance fit classes in the past, so I was right in my element.
But I think we all agreed that more than anything we enjoyed the reception we got from the Studio, the Instructor and the Members themselves. After seeing our shirts, the group were naturally curious to know the meaning behind it. After sharing with them the story they were so supportive and very insistent on us sharing the 101 Adventures for Jill fundraising details so they could donate. They also sent a lovely message to all three of us after the class too asking for permission to share the story and the 101 Adventures for Jill fundraising link on their Instagram page. It was so unexpected to get such a warm welcoming and we had such a wonderful experience in their studio that I think even Anna would agree it was worth the early wake up time for.
If there are any Brisbane locals reading this and are interested in dance fitness classes, I would highly recommend their studio Dance Fiit. Check out their Instagram page below:
