I already have a back garden wall of natives, all plants I have got from the council's 'Free Native Program'. With not much space left I decided to buy 5 cover natives to go in front of my garden decor. I bought 3 that will bloom in pink flowers and 2 in white. I planted these on Jill Day 19/02/23 and Jill sent some lovely rain for them the following day, so hoping these will grown and bloom in time.
I only got into gardening a few years ago when I built my house. Thankfully I don't have a lot of land to maintain, but I have built myself a small garden which I'm pretty proud of. Jill and I bonded over our gardening, laughing that we must be getting old and adulting hard. She surprised me by sending a beautiful Peace Lily for me for my bday in 2020. I am happy to say it is still alive and thriving as per picture below. The day I found out about Jill's passing I noticed it had a single flower in bloom 🥺
