#47. Do five parkruns in a row

I substituted 'Write five messages to people you haven’t kept in contact with lately' on the 101 Adventure for Jill List with this one I came up with. I think I generally do well to maintain my close friendships and the truest friendships, like the one I had with Jill, are ones where you might not necessarily speak everyday but you're there for each other when it counts and when you do speak it's like no time has passed at all. When Jill passed, I received so many lovely messages of support from many friends that I had probably not had much to do with in recent years. I appreciated everyone reaching out and I hopefully reposnded to all messages at the time, even if it was briefly, so I feel like this was already checked off for me which is why I thought I would challenge myself with something else.

So, keeping with the 'five' theme I did five Parkruns in a row. For those who don't know what Parkrun is, Parkrun is a collection of 5-kilometre events for walkers, runners and volunteers that take place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 22 countries across six continents. It's such a great free event and is such a positive way to stay active and also engage with others.

I always strive to get my 5km runs under 30mins, so I'm pretty happy with my results:

30/09/23 - 30:14* - Finished 108/266 -15th Female

*I feel I would of got this under 30mins but didn't realise the course had changed direction since the last time I did Parkrun it - which was back in April 2021 - so I thought I had positioned myself near the front and turns out I was at the back.

07/10/23 - 28:32 - Finished 80/270 - 18th Female

14/10/23 - 28:22 - Finished 65/284 - 15th Female

21/10/23 - 27:41** - Finished 76/281 - 21st Female

**Fastest time for this year

28/10/23 - 27:44 - Finished 63/278 - 13th Female

Keeping active was always important to Jill and I was able to look up Jill's Parkrun stats and can say she at least did Parkrun 13 times.

I say at least 13 times because I did one with her in Yeppoon 04/11/17 which was not in her stats, she must not have had her Parkrun barcode on her, but there were only 3 unknown runners for that event and I know she finished not too long after me, so she must of been either runner 13 or 14.
