#43. Fancy hair week

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this one because on the list it was specific to Anna & Tessa's (Don't blow-dry/straighten hair for a week (or in Anna's case - do), but when both Anna & Tessa planned to tick this one off their list at the same time, Anna also messaged me 'Cassie? Fancy hair week?' and it was decided. So, my interpretation of this one was to simply put more of an effort in styling my hair than I would normally make on a day-to-day basis. I suck at styling hair, so my goal was just to do anything except a top bun (my easy go to). Like Frock Friday's I did have fun with it, but styling hair consecutively is too much effort in my opinion, so looking forward to going back to just styling once in a while.

Day 1 - Tight Curls (with some twists)

I can't curl hair well, but I found this heatless curling technique using two socks. It doesn't make for the most comfortable night's sleep, but it does produce some pretty decent and effortless curls.

Day 2 - High Bouncy Pony

I tried another sock curling technique to get some curls in my ponytail, which didn't quite work out, but it did give a little more volume for the look I was trying to achieve.

Day 3 - Twisty Topsy Tail

I call this the ‘twisty-non-braid-effect-for-people-who-can’t-braid-with-topsy-tail-at-the-back-please-ignore-my-regrowth’ look.

Day 4 - Straightened

Fancy hair week coincided with my much-needed hair appointment. Fresh from the hairdressers from the night before, and with my regrowth now gone, I kept it simple with the straightened look.

Day 5 - Space Buns

First time doing space buns and felt it turned out pretty cute. I think I would do this style again.

Day 6 - Side bun

Day 7 - Soft Curls (with half up pony)
