#1. Meet up in person.

Tessa & Anna at the beginning of the year, very kindly invited me to join along in meeting up with them in Brisbane to celebrate Jill’s birthday and to join in on some 101 Adventures. I can’t tell you how lovely and how important the connection I have made with these two women has been to me. Whilst this connection has come about in a way that nobody wanted, I know that Jill would be pleased that this connection has formed and that we have had each other for support during the last nine months. Both women I've come to know are intelligent, independent, loyal, fun, have massive hearts and have strong family values at their core. These qualities and values were also instilled in Jill, so it's no wonder that Jill gravitated towards them, and they all became best friends. Tessa & Anna have always made me feel so inclusive and I thank them greatly for this and I just know we will be friends always now.

This trip felt like a long time of planning, but even the best of plans never run smoothly. We each flew into Brisbane on Thu 17th August, Tessa from Tamworth, Anna from Rocky and me from Mackay. We had a couple of hiccups on Day 1 due to flight delays for both me and Anna. I missed out on one activity No.6. ‘Gorge ourselves on pierogi (with wine)’, which being the fussy eater I am, I wasn’t too upset about that 🤣 and we had to reschedule another activity to the following day, but apart from that all our other plans came together very well, and we were able to achieve everything we wanted to do to remember/celebrate Jill.
